Who Can Lodge a Complaint

Any person who feels that their fundamental human rights have been violated, or who has been subjected to unfair, discriminatory or unlawful treatment, may lodge a complaint with the Pakistan International Human Rights Organization (PIHRO). Complaints may be lodged against any act, decision, omission or behavior by public or private institutions, officials or other entities which:

1. Contravene human rights laws, rules or recognized principles
2. Are arbitrary, unjust, biased, oppressive or discriminatory
3. Are based on irrelevant, prejudiced or unlawful grounds
4. Involve corruption, favouritism, nepotism, exploitation or abuse of power
5. Result from negligence, delay, inaction or inefficiency in performing duties
6. Endanger or violate the dignity, equality and safety of individuals or communities

Through this mechanism, PIHRO ensures that citizens particularly vulnerable and marginalized groups have a fair platform to seek redress, justice and accountability.
